Spiritual direction in the contemplative-evocative approach.
Are you seeking a deeper connection with God, yourself, and others? Do you want to take some supported time each month to reflect on your life, process what's happening, or share about relationships or struggles? Are you seeking spiritual growth and healing?
Spiritual direction is an experience of deep listening and can be really transformational. As you share what's going on in life, your desires and your pain, and we explore where God is present in all of it and what God might be inviting you to.
What's it like? What do I talk about?
You share about what's going on in your life, past, present or future. We all want to be known, heard, understood, and encouraged. Spiritual directors may ask gentle questions to help you go deeper into your experiences, reflect on your stories or struggles, and find meaning. You might explore dreams or areas of your life that need healing or reconciliation. As we explore relationships, work, play and prayer, we strive to notice where God is working in you, inspiring you, challenging you, and loving you.
What is the time commitment?
Spiritual direction sessions usually meet for 1 hour every 4-6 weeks. It can be done for a short time when you are discerning something in particular or as a long-term support.
Taking some time to pray and talk to God regularly will help your sessions be more fruitful.
